Bar Duce – A Hidden Gem in Naha
Bar Duce is a true “hidden bar” located in the Kumoji area of Naha, just a short walk from the busy downtown streets. From the outside, there are almost no signs or bright lights, creating the perfect atmosphere for a secret hideout.
Finding this bar can be tricky—you might wonder, “Is this really the place?” even after Google Maps leads you to the building. Once you ride the elevator to the right floor, you may still hesitate, thinking, “Where exactly is it?” (laughs)
Be brave and open the door—on the other side, a stylish space awaits! At this point, you’re 80% of the way inside.
The final 20% is the mysterious automatic door marked “Members Only.” Once you figure it out, you’ll be welcomed warmly: “Thank you for coming.”
The interior features wooden counter tables, black walls, and soft lighting, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere. With both counter and sofa seating, it’s a perfect place to enjoy drinks and conversation. During my visit, there was no background music, which made the space feel even more intimate—ideal for dates, business, or simply relaxing.

Bar Duce offers a wide selection of premium drinks—liqueurs, whisky, wine, beer, and cocktails. Whisky lovers will be delighted by the collection, which includes Macallan, Johnnie Walker, Yamazaki, Hakushu, and more. Seasonal fruit cocktails are also popular, ranging from light and fruity options to strong, refined blends.

The food is equally impressive, with premium meat dishes like filet steak and juicy hamburg steak being highly recommended. Seasonal menus with fresh vegetables and seafood are also available, making this bar a true dining destination.
I tried the pasta and hamburg steak, but they were so delicious I forgot to take photos! (laughs)
